Rose Canyon Master Plan

Salt Lake County in partnership with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is developing a master plan for approximately 4,000-acres in the southwest corner of Salt Lake Valley.  The subject lands include the Rose Canyon Open Space lands, Yellow Fork Canyon Regional Park, and abutting BLM Lands.

Currently, we are in the public input stage of the planning process. At the end of the public input stage, an open house will be held to present the master plan options for further input and review.

A map showing the overall subject lands and a document listing the issues identified to date are linked below. Please use this information to identify any issues, and concerns relative to the master plan that you may have.

In addition, please provide us suggestions as to what types of recreational uses you would like to see permitted, i.e., waking/hiking, equestrian activities, mountain biking, day picnicking, snow shoeing, cross country skiing to name a few.
