Big Bear

A beautiful, large community park with many trees and many amenities. There is a large statue of a bear in the park

  • Pavilion (Reservable) - Covered, seats 135, 5-20' tables
  • Playground - Large metal and plastic play set with 5 swings and 5 slides
  • Volleyball - 1 lighted regulation sand court
  • Tennis- 2 lighted, concrete
  • Basketball Courts - (none)
  • Baseball/Softball Fields - 2 Little League fields.
  • Horseshoe Courts - 2 pits, sand and asphalt.
  • Notable Features - 1 lighted shuffleboard court. Shuffleboard equipment may be rented from the ark office. There is a large statue of a bear in the park

Canyon Rim

3100 South (Grace Street) 3250 East
Millcreek Township
A large, beautiful neighborhood park with an east end pavilion and a west end pavilion. Some amenities are at both ends of the park.

  • Pavilion (Reservable) -both are covered. East end seats 175--3-16' wood tables and 9-8' wood tables. West end seats 170--8-16' wood tables.
  • Playground - East end has a large metal and plastic play set with 4 swings and 4 slides. West end has a small metal play set with 2 slides.
  • Volleyball - Each end has 1 regulation sand court.
  • Tennis - There are 2 lighted cement courts located in the northwest corner of the park.
  • Basketball Courts - (none)
  • Baseball/Softball Fields - 1 little league baseball field on northeast side of the park.
  • Horseshoe Courts - Each end has 2 pits, mostly sand and dirt.
  • Notable Features - Lighted amphitheater with a round step-stage and seating for 650 located at the west end of the park. Parking for the west end is on the street and Monday through Saturday at the neighboring church.

Copperton

A beautiful community park with mature trees and many amenities.

  • Pavilion (Reservable) - Covered, seats 130 -- 6- 16' wood tables and 1-10' table
  • Playground - 2 play sets with 12 swings and brick and tire play structures.
  • Volleyball - 1 concrete court (same as basketball court)
  • Tennis - 2 non-concrete courts
  • Basketball Courts - Full size court with 2 hoops (same as volleyball court).
  • Baseball/Softball Fields - (none)
  • Horseshoe Courts - 4 pits, mostly dirt
  • Notable Features - 1 concrete "sports court" with 1 row of concrete bleacher seating.

Crestwood

Cottonwood Heights
A large community park with outdoor pool and many amenities including a large natural area with walking path.

  • Pavilion (Reservable) - Uncovered, seats 75 -- 7-8' aluminum tables. Has large BBQ grill.
  • Playground - 1 small metal play set with 1 slide and a tire play set.
  • Volleyball - 1 regulation court
  • Tennis - 2 non cement courts.
  • Basketball Courts - (none)
  • Baseball/Softball Fields - (none)
  • Horseshoe Courts - 2 pits, mostly dirt and asphalt.
  • Notable Features - Large multipurpose grassy area. Equestrian trail, north side of the park in the nature area.

Harmony

A shady community park with many amenities and 2 regulation softball fields.

  • Pavilion (Reservable) - Covered, seats 105 -- 5-16' wood tables.
  • Playground - 2 located close to each other with a total of 3 swings and 3 slides.
  • Volleyball - 1 regulation sand court.
  • Tennis- 2 non-cement lighted courts
  • Basketball Courts - (none)
  • Baseball/Softball Fields - 2 regulation lighted softball fields. North bleachers seats 295, South 362. Reserved through the County Sports Office - 801-272-7260.
  • Horseshoe Courts - 2 lighted pits, mostly dirt and asphalt.

Hillsdale

A community park with a large grassy area and a number of amenities.

  • Pavilion - Covered pavilion seats 55 people.
  • Playground - Large metal playset with 2 slides and 4 swings.

  • Tennis - 2 lighted concrete courts.

Hunter

A large, popular community park with many amenities including a pavilion, large playground, athletic venues.

  • Pavilion (Reservable) - Covered, seats 110 -- 5-16' wood tables.
  • Playground - Large plastic playset with 6 slides and 8 swings.
  • Volleyball - 1 regulation sand court.
  • Tennis - 2 lighted, non-cement courts, resurfaced in 2007.
  • Basketball Courts - (none)
  • Baseball/Softball Fields - Little League 4-plex, drop-in or reservable.
  • Horseshoe Courts - 2 pits, mostly dirt and sand.
  • Notable Features - Sledding hill on the northeast side of the park by the baseball fields. There is a flag pole located near the playground.

Magna-Copper

Magna Township
A large, older community park with green space, 2 pavilions, tennis courts and a skatepark.

  • Pavilion (Reservable) - Both are covered. East seats 132 -- 8-16' wood tables. West seats 200 -- 14-16' wood tables.
  • Playground - East-side has a metal and plastic playset with 8 swings and 3 slides. West side has a metal and plastic playset with 2 slides.
  • Volleyball - 1 regulation sand court located near the West Pavilion. 1 cement court located by the East Pavilion, which can also be used for basketball.
  • Tennis - 2 lighted courts on the west side.
  • Basketball Courts - 1 full size court on the east side which is also used as a volleyball court.
  • Baseball/Softball Fields - 1 regulation field located north of the East Pavilion. Used by Cyprus High school.
  • Horseshoe Courts - 2 west side pits, mostly asphalt and sand. 2 east side grass and sand pits
  • Notable Features - This is an older park with lots of green space. There is a skate park located on the west side.

Olympus Hills

A large community park with many amenities including, a water feature, natural area, jogging paths, soccer fields, baseball fields, play area and tennis courts.

  • Pavilion - covered, seats 45, 4 - 8 ft. aluminum tables
  • Playground - South playground is a large plastic play set with 4 slides. North playground is small metal play set with 1 slide.
  • Volleyball - (none)
  • Tennis - 8 lighted courts, resurfaced in 2006.

A beautiful, shady community park with many amenities.

  • Pavilion (Reservable) - Covered, seats 150 -- 7-16' tables.
  • Playground - Large metal playset with 4 swings and 4 slides
  • Volleyball - 1 grass court,
  • Tennis - 2 cement courts; however, only 1 has a net.
  • Basketball Courts - 1 full court facility with hoops.
  • Baseball/Softball Fields - Adjacent field is owned and operated by Murray City--call 264-2614 for information
  • Horseshoe Courts - 2 pits, grass and sand.
  • Notable Features - Flag pole near the pavilion and a bike rack near the playground. 2 concrete shuffleboard courts--equipment may be rented through Parks office.

Southridge

One of the larger community parks in the parks and recreation system with a wide range of amenities including: five baseball fields, basketball courts, volleyball, cricket, soccer, and rugby fields among others.

  • Pavilion - Covered, seats 120, 11 - 16 ft. wood tables
  • Playground - A circular play area with a large metal and plastic play set with 6 swings and 5 slides.
  • Volleyball - 2 regulation sand courts
  • Tennis - 4 lighted non-concrete courts.
  • Basketball Courts - 1 full-sized court with 2 basketball standards
  • Baseball/Softball Fields - 5 baseball fields.
  • Horseshoe Courts - 2 dirt and sand courts
  • Notable Features - 2 cricket fields.

Tanner

2760 South (Heritage Way) 2695 East
Salt Lake City
A community park with several amenities, including 2 pavilions and access to Parley's Nature Park.

  • Pavilion (Reservable) - West end: 12-8' tables clustered very close together--1 cover for each 2 tables. Total seating 100. East end: small covered pavilion seats 45 -- 4-16' wood tables. See Unusual Features/Special Instructions below..
  • Playground - Located on the east side--large playset with 2 slides and 2 swings. On the west side there is a circular play area with no equipment.
  • Volleyball - (none)
  • Tennis - 2 non-cement courts.
  • Basketball Courts -(none)
  • Baseball/Softball Fields - Little League field.. After Little League season, the field is drop-in.
  • Horseshoe Courts - (none)
  • Notable Features - Because of extreme difficulties with parking at the east end of the park due to the close proximity of Parley's Nature Park, the East Pavilion is available to reserve only by special request on a case-by-case basis. Only 1 area may be reserved per day.
