While the building is being remodeled we are operating out of the former Northwest Middle School, located at 1400 West Goodwin Avenue (1145 North). We are in the northeast side of the building. If you need help finding us please call 801 596-0072.
Northwest Community and Recretaion Center is being completed in two phases. The first phase will include a renovation of the Community Center (existing building) to include electrical, mechanical, and structural upgrades, expanded space for the Senior Citizen program, and a remodel of restrooms and other building space. Completion of this project is scheduled for October 2008.
The New Recreation Center will be built next to the existing Community Center and is expected to be completed in summer of 2009. The state of the art Recreation Center will include a Leisure and Lap Pool, Fitness and Aerobics rooms, full size gymnasium, wet classroom for birthday parties and events, and a drop in day care.
We will move back into the Community Center and the Fitness Room will re-open in the fall of 2008. Memberships for the new Recreation Center will go on sale in Early Spring of 2009.
