Jr. Jazz Youth Basketball

We offer three Jr. Jazz Basketball programs:

1. Instructional Jr. Jazz Basketball is for youth Kindergarten through 2nd grade. This league is designed to teach the fundamentals of basketball in a fun, non-competitive atmosphere. The program is divided into two age groups; Kindergarten and 1st – 2nd grades. No practices are offered for these leagues as they practice before their games during the skills clinics.

2. Jr. Jazz Basketball is for all girls and boys 3rd through 8th grades. These recreation leagues build on the basics and allow players to improve their skills in a fun environment with the emphasis on sportsmanship. Separate girls and boys leagues by grade are offered. Practices held at the coach’s discretion during the week at local schools.

3. Senior Girls Jr. Jazz Basketball is a for girls in 9th – 12th grades.  This is still a recreation league with the emphasis on fun and fair play. We use certified officials for this league and no participation award is given. Practices held at the coach’s discretion during the week at local schools.

The cost for these programs is $57 ($61 for senior girls) and includes 8 sessions, a team jersey, two Utah Jazz game tickets, a Utah Jazz player appearance clinic, a Jazz game meal ticket and a participation award. All games are played at local area gymnasiums on Saturdays beginning December 5, 2009.
