Pre School

Our Pre-School program provides well-rounded learning in developmentally appropriate experiences for children ages 2 through 5. We strive to promote a child's social, physical, emotional, language, cognitive, and creative development in a positive, stimulating and nurturing environment.

Emphasis is placed on active, hands-on learning experiences in which children are able to learn by interacting with their environment through a balance of educational and play activities. Self-esteem is developed through positive, supportive interactions with teachers and volunteers. Curiosity and a love of learning are fostered as children explore and discover through a variety of developmentally appropriate activities. Creativity is encouraged by providing many different open-ended learning activities with a variety of materials.

In addition to having time each day to choose individual and small-group learning activities, your child will spend time each day in a whole-group setting involved in activities such as music, art, story time, large-muscle development and outdoor play.

We provide pre-school students breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack each day. Your child will also be assigned a "cubbie" to keep their personal belongings in. Pre-school children may bring a special blanket from home for rest time.

So as to protect the health of all children at the Center, we are not able to admit children who are ill. If your child has a communicable disease, a persistent cough, runny nose, sore throat, fever, diarrhea or any other condition that would prevent them from participating in normal daily activities, please keep them at home.
