At what age can children swim without a parent or responsible adult in the water with them?

A parent or responsible adult MUST accompany their child in the pool up until the age of six.

What ages require the use of a swim diaper?

Ages 3 and under must have a swim diaper- no exceptions.

Are toys allowed in the pool (i.e. blow-up toys, diving sticks, balls)?

Only diving sticks/rings are allowed in the pool.  No inflateable devices or balls.

What types of floatation devices are allowed in the pool?

Only marked coast guard approved life-jackets are allowed in the pool.  No inflateable arm-bands or inner-tube style devices.

How old do I have to be to use the fitness room?

16 years old.  *Any child ages 14 or 15 can use the weight room once they have taken our weight-room certification class at no charge.  Call the center to schedule a certification time.

Do you run adult sports leagues?

We don't at Holladay-Lions, but Salt Lake County offers a wide variety of adult recreation and competive leagues.  To find the center nearest you that offers your program, call the Sports Office at 270-7260.
