Gene Fullmer Fitness and Recreation Center offers American Red Cross Life Guard Training Classes and Water Safety Instructor Classes.

Lifeguard Training Classes

Student must be 15 years old by last day of class in order to register (Proof of age required on first day of class).  Pre-screen test on first night of class includes continuous 300 yard swim (100 yard freestyle, 100 yard breaststroke, 100 yard combination of both), 20 yard swim and retrival of 10 lb. brick in deep end of pool (timed event 100 seconds max). 100% attendance required with 80% or better on written exams and successful completion of final skill scenarios to recieve certification.
Cost: $155.00 ($10.00 non-refundable deposit included in the $155.00) Class fee includes book and supplies.
